Wizkid wows crowd with ‘Troubled Mind’ performance at British Fashion Awards
Grammy-winning Nigerian star, Wizkid, set the stage ablaze on Monday night with an emotional performance of his latest track, Troubled Mind, at the 2024 British Fashion Awards.
The event, held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London, was a gathering of the world’s fashion elites, including British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker, Dior’s creative mind Kim Jones, and style legend Tom Ford.
Amidst the glamour, Wizkid’s rendition of Troubled Mind, the opening track from his newly released sixth studio album, Morayo, captivated the audience.

The evening also celebrated big wins in fashion. Irish designer Jonathan Anderson took home the Designer of the Year award for the second year running, while American rapper A$AP Rocky was honoured with the Cultural Innovator award.
The star-studded audience included Rihanna, who attended in support of Rocky.
Wizkid, born Ayodeji Balogun, is no stranger to the spotlight.
He shot to fame in 2011 with his debut album, Superstar, and has since released five more albums: Ayo (2014), Sounds From The Other Side (2017), Made In Lagos (2020), More Love, Less Ego (2022), and the freshly launched Morayo (2024).
The singer’s accolades are as impressive as his discography. In 2021, he bagged a Grammy Award for his feature on Beyoncé’s global hit, Brown Skin Girl. Just last October, his Made in Lagos album earned the title of the most-streamed Nigerian album on Apple Music.
Wizkid’s performance at the British Fashion Awards is another feather in his already illustrious cap, showcasing not just his music but his ability to connect with audiences worldwide.
