Kaigama, who announced his decision at the weekend, described opposition parties in the state as “docile,” decrying their alleged inability to effectively challenge the governing party.
He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of failing to provide meaningful opposition, despite being the ruling party at the federal level.

he APC, since their loss in the last election, has become irrelevant and plagued by leadership crises,” Kaigama said, adding: “They have failed to engage the government constructively, and this lack of accountability undermines good governance.”
