Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo, has dissolved all commissions in the state with immediate effect.
Secretary to the Government, Umar Ikhilor, in a statement, said the dissolved commissions included the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, the Civil Service Commission, Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, Edo State Forestry Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, Edo State Audit Service Commission, and the Judicial Service Commission.
The chairpersons and members of the commissions have been ordered to hand over government properties in their possession to the most senior public officer in their jurisdictions.
Okpebholo’s decision follows his dissolution of some boards and parastatals in the state last month.
