NGOs donate food, clothes, others to Lagos community

Non-governmental organisations, Sheinspires Global Empowerment Initiative, and Life Touchers Africa Network, in collaboration with Ijaysworld Creatives, have donated 150 food packs and over 2,000 pieces of clothing, shoes, and bags to 150 families in Store Community, Tarkwa Bay, of Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The donation, an annual event, was held last year on December 23, 2023, in Minna, Niger State, where food and clothing were provided to over 200 women.

Speaking shortly after the distribution, the founder of Sheinspires Global Empowerment Initiative, Hannah Abedoh, stated that the humanitarian gesture aimed to support hard-working women in underserved communities, who, despite their efforts, often face hardships during the festive season. She stressed the need to give back and bring hope to the vulnerable.

On her part, the founder of Life Touchers Africa Network, Dr. Bola Oyelakin Gbadejo, highlighted the importance of collaboration.

Dr. Gbadejo added: “When we join hands, the impact we create goes far beyond what any one organization can achieve alone.”

Also speaking, the founder of Ijaysworld Creatives, Faith Ezenwere, noted that Christmas is a season to share love and goodwill.

She added that the initiative allowed them to embody the spirit of the season by extending kindness and support to those in need.

She further emphasised that the success of the initiative was made possible by generous donations from individuals and the shared commitment of the three organisations to drive lasting change.

The traditional leader of the community, Baale, praised the donors for their gesture and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the three organisations, adding that the initiative had brought immense relief to his people.

The beneficiaries also expressed joy and appreciation, thanking everyone who contributed to making the donation possible.
