Any event that worths its essence must be prepared for. Nobody wants to organise or attend a half-hazard event. It does not matter the calibre of the event, people must prepare for it, whether it is birthday, naming ceremony, party, wedding, coronation, marriage, christening, launching, graduation, matriculation and ordination, among others, there is always preparation preceding the event. What actually, is the essence of these preparations? It is to see that the occasion in question goes as planned, and without hitches on the day of the event. If it is worthwhile to prepare for the mundane things of this world, the secular things of the world so that there will not be disappointment or failure in one way or the order, what about meeting with God? Do we need to prepare to meet him?
Moreover, when we want to meet with important personalities, we prepare ourselves and ensure that we do our best. Anyone that has appointment with a governor, senator, or even the chairman of a local government area, prepares himself or herself before meeting such people. Yet these are human beings that have limitations and can die any time.
Therefore, the pertinent question at this juncture is, do we need to prepare tomeet our God? And the answer is yes! God is an Awesome Being of heaven, that has no beginning and no ending. The Omnipotent Jehovah, the self-existing God,Who has power to do all things. We need to tremble before him. Therefore, if we desire to meet God, we must prepare ourselves and make sure that we are immaculately and resplendently dressed. In our text above, God told Moses to go and sanctify the people, make them wash their clothes, and should not come near their wives. Washing their clothes means that they live or appear holy. God is a holy God and for any man to meet with the Lord, such a person must live holy. 1Peter 1v15-16 says,“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;16: Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” God says, “Be you holy” because he is holy, therefore, you must not appear before Him anyhow. This is the period we usually hold the crusade titled “…Only God Can Do This.”This programme is organised annually, so it is not a common programme, rather it is a crusade that we need to prepare with all seriousness and give it all we have. Even the name of the programme is enough to elicit unshakable seriousness in our preparation, because there are many things we cannot do for ourselves, but with God, nothing shall be impossible. And if that is the case, will you appear anyhow before God? God forbid. What is that, that has defied solution in your life? God is not a man, He has no limitation, He spoke the world into existence and nothing is impossible with Him. He divided the red sea for the Israelites to pass on dry ground, so what is that you are passing through without solution? God is at hand to bring solution to you.
Are you afflicted? And you think that the world has come to an end, don’t worry, this programme will settle you. Even if you are like the man at the pool of Bethesda who said he had no helper, God was his helper, John 5:5-9.
5:Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6: When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” 7: The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8: Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9: And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked,NKJV.
As devil could not stop the man in the above scriptures, so will the devil not stop you, it doesn’t matter how he tries. He came down with great wrath against the inhabitants of the earth, especially, the children of God. The only way to defeat him and his evil machination, is to run to God in holiness and righteousness.
At this juncture, for you to prepare for this great event, you should go into fervent prayers and fasting, engage in diligent publicity. Do things that will make God to be happy with you and do that which no man can do for you. Those of you that have the capacity, can sponsor the crusade, almost all our buses are broken down and need repairs. We need fuel to run them, among others. There are many things you can do to curry the favour of God in this coming crusade. The D-day is just about three days away. This is our last week of preparation, therefore, do not allow anything to hinder you from preparing yourself for this great event. Remember that we are talking about meeting with the Almighty God Who has no equal. He asked Jeremiah in Jer 32v27 and said, “Behold l am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for me?” Nothing is too hard for God. What is that case confronting you? As you prepare and come to God in this crusade, he will intervene and deal with that situation.
May be, as you are reading this message, you have not surrendered your life to Christ, this is a big opportunity for you to do so now because there is no more time. Remember, it is appointed unto men once to die and after that, the judgment. Amend your ways now before it is too late. Mark8v36-37 says, “What shall it profit you to gain the whole world and you lose your soul or what shall you give in exchange of your soul?”
1Tim2 v3-4 says, ”For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour who will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth.”
God wants all men to be saved, including you, so do not disappoint God.
Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
Former Cultist And Armed Robber Repents, Preaches Christ
A former cultist and armed robber, Brother S. Onuoha from Imo State has received Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour after he repented from his sins. Brother Onuoha who is now a happy member of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, joined this great movement on February 10, 2024. Before joining the church, Brother Onuoha said he lived a very rough life.
According to him,“I was a cultist in Port-Harcourt but because of the commotion we caused in Port-Harcourt, I left Port-Harcourt and came to Lagos. When l came to Lagos, l joinedother dangerous gangs such as armed robbery. We robbed in different locations in Lagos State, butone fateful day, we went for operation in Badagry area, as we were returning and we encountered the police, customs and some military men and had gun duel with them, in the process, all my colleagues died.I was the only one alive, but I sustained some bullet wounds.”
Narrating how he (Onuoha) and the dead bodies were taken to Panti State CID, Alagbon, Lagos, the former cultist and armed robber, said, “after interrogation, l was sent to prison, and I spent eight years in prison. At the end of that eight years, I was taken to High Court, after several adjournments, on the very day l was to be sentenced and probably hanged, there was this lady that came to preach to us when l was in prison in Badagry. After her preaching, she made an altar-call and l was among those that came out to surrender my life to Jesus Christ. The sister prayed for us and said God of Chosen would set us free in Jesus name. When we went to court that fateful day, the judge after hearing everything, she began to write and write and write and at the end of it all, she said, “l hereby, with my prerogative power, discharge and acquit you,” as soon as, l heard this, I fainted. When l regained consciousness and came out of the court, l made up my mind to serve this God Who gave me a second chance to live again.
“Immediately, l began to preach Christ, the little way, l could and after preaching in a particular street in Oshodi, a brother saw me and invited me to the church programmeand that is why I am here today. I have made up my mind to serve this God to the end. Praise the Lord!,” Brother Onuoha added.
