The Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) is set to shine a light on the future of Nigeria’s healthcare sector as it commemorates its 10th anniversary with a series of impactful events, including a blood donation drive.

This was disclosed during the anniversary press conference in Lagos, where the health umbrella body for private-sector stakeholders unveiled plans under the theme “A Decade of Impact and Future Possibilities.”

HFN aims to reflect on its achievements and pave the way for innovative solutions to healthcare challenges in the country.

Since its establishment in 2015, HFN prides itself as a driving force in advancing healthcare advocacy, fostering partnerships, and influencing policy reforms to create a more sustainable system.

HFN President, Dr Pamela Ajayi, revealed that the anniversary celebrations, which span 2024 into 2025, will not only celebrate the federation’s milestones but also encourage new collaborations aimed at achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

“HFN has created a platform that bridges the divide between public and private sectors in healthcare and fosters collaboration to transform the state of health systems in Nigeria. As we approach the 15th of February 2025, the official date of our 10th anniversary, we are reminded of the incredible journey that has brought us to this moment and the need to share this milestone with the public,” she said.

“Over the last decade, HFN has stood as a champion for advocacy, partnerships, and innovation in the healthcare space. Through the collective efforts of our members and partners, we have made tangible progress in advancing the healthcare agenda in Nigeria, engaging with policymakers, and addressing challenges that have long hindered the sector’s growth,” she added.

Treasurer of HFN, Mrs Chinyere Okorocha, outlined the key activities planned for the celebrations, which include a Health Walk, a Fundraising Gala, and the launch of HFN’s Legacy Project – The Innovation Hub to support healthcare startups and technological advancements.

Other highlights include the release of a comprehensive Impact Report documenting HFN’s decade-long contributions, a professionally produced documentary capturing the stories and milestones of its members, partners, and stakeholders, and the HFN Annual Conference 2025, set to take place from February 27 to 28, 2025, to mark the organisation’s 10th anniversary.
