Akpabio urges Nigerians to embrace love, unity during Christmas
President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has called on Nigerians to use the Christmas season to promote peace, love, and unity across the nation.
In a Christmas message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio emphasized that the festive season is not only a time for celebration but also for deep reflection and gratitude.
“In the spirit of the season, I encourage you all to spread love, kindness, and generosity. Let us remember those in need and offer a helping hand as much as possible,” Akpabio said.
He reminded Nigerians of the essence of Christmas, which he said embodies peace, love, and unity, and called for these values to guide the collective efforts to build a stronger and better nation.
The Senate President noted that Jesus Christ symbolized peace, love, and generosity, and His birthday should be marked with joy and gratitude.
“This special time of the year is a moment for reflection, gratitude, and celebration,” he added.
Akpabio extended his warm wishes to all Nigerians, assuring them of his prayers for God’s abundant blessings in the new year.
“On behalf of my family, constituents, the Senate, and indeed the National Assembly, I wish you all a joyous and merry Christmas,” he said.
The message concluded with a prayer for peace, prosperity, and blessings in the coming year.
