He added that the team, which would be working alongside vigilantes, would be conducting confidence-building patrols, show-of-force operations, intelligence-led initiatives, and enhanced night patrols to deter criminal activities and ensure a peaceful festive season.
Key patrol routes listed by him include the Zing-Jalingo to Wukari highway, Jalingo-Lau, Jalingo-Ardo Kola, and the Bali to Sardauna highway. Moreover, the police, Federal Road Safety Corps, and traffic wardens, he said, had been strategically positioned at worship centres to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety.

He said despite the daunting economic challenges, the citizens have cause to celebrate the event with joy and hope for a better future for the nation.
“Christmas is not just a time for festivities, but a divine call to reflect on the message of hope, peace, and unconditional love, as exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. It is a time to forgive and show kindness to one another,” he urged.
EQUALLY, the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajiya Ireti Heebah Kingibe, also felicitated with residents and Nigerians on the Yuletide, urging them to embrace unity, hope, and resilience during the festive season.
