Oborevwori, Guwor urge Nigerians to pray for unity

As Christians celebrate Christmas, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has tasked Nigerians to use the occasion to pray fervently for a more peaceful and united Nigeria.

Oborevwori in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, said, “Our nation is at a critical juncture. But with collective prayers, determination, and hard work, we can overcome the challenges we face and emerge stronger.”

He highlighted Christmas as a time to embrace love, peace, and harmony, and called on everyone to set aside primordial divisions and focus on the collective progress of the country.

“Christmas is not just a time for merriment; it is a season of reflection and renewal which reminds us of the boundless love and selflessness that Jesus Christ demonstrated during his time on Earth,” he said.

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly extended warmest greetings to Deltans on the celebration.

Guwor who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, said, he is proud of the progress we have made together as a state.

The Speaker’s goodwill message to Deltans is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Mr Nkem Nwaeke.

He said he looks forward to the dawn of a new year with great hopes and more positive vibes in Delta State, even as he prayed that the festive season will bring peace, love and happiness.
