Abiodun signs N1.054tr 2025 Ogun budget, promises road repairs

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has signed the state’s 2025 appropriation bill of N1.054 trillion into law.

The governor signed the appropriation bill on Monday at his office in Oke-Mosan in the state’s capital, Abeokuta.

The Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, the state’s deputy governor, and other members of the state’s House of Assembly were present during the signing of the appropriation bill.

Abiodun announced that his administration would prioritise infrastructure provision by signing more Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with private organizations. This, he noted, would improve the state’s economy in the coming year.

“It is my pleasure to announce that in the coming month, we will be signing the partnership agreement with potential partners in our port development. The Olokola Port is back on track.

“In the coming year, you will see us signing more Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with private players in the areas of renewable energy, energy transition, and agriculture, particularly animal husbandry. We intend to join the league of those producing beef and pork, not just for domestic consumption, but for export.”

The Governor also revealed his administration’s plans to renovate roads in the state.
