Fintiri signs Adamawa’s N486.2b budget into law
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has signed the 2025 budget of N486.2 billion into law, following its approval by the state House of Assembly.
Dubbed the “Budget of Service,” the financial plan prioritises funding for government programmes aimed at advancing development and improving the lives of citizens across the state.
The budget, presented to the Assembly this month, was anchored on key macroeconomic indicators, including an oil production benchmark of 1.8 million barrels per day, an oil price of $80 per barrel, and an exchange rate of N1,314.94 to the dollar.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, yesterday, Fintiri lauded the Assembly members for their cooperation and commitment to the state’s progress.
He pledged full transparency and accountability in the budget’s implementation, assuring residents that every naira would be spent effectively.
“With this budget, I am optimistic that Adamawa will emerge as one of the most developed states in Nigeria,” the governor declared.
Fintiri also extended his appreciation to the media for their role in informing the public and called for continued collaboration in 2025.
He expressed hope for a brighter future for Nigeria, emphasising his administration’s dedication to making positive changes in the state.
Dignitaries at the ceremony included the state Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta; the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Bathiya Weasley, and other top government officials.
