President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Daniel Okoh.

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on political leaders to show compassion, transparency and accountability and implement policies that will impact positively on the lives of the people.

In a New Year’s message, yesterday, in Abuja, CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, stressed the need to ensure that decisions were made with the welfare of the people in mind and to ensure that no Nigerian was left behind in the pursuit of a prosperous nation.

He noted that despite the difficulties faced in 2024, including economic challenges and insecurity, Nigeria witnessed God’s grace, sustaining the people as a nation.

Okoh urged Nigerians to return to God and serve Him faithfully, adding that Nigerians could find the desired peace, unity and progress by seeking God’s guidance and walking in His ways

He said: “With God’s continued grace and our collective commitment to His will, we believe 2025 will be a year of transformation and renewal for our beloved country. Let us move forward in faith, unity and the hope that all shall be well with us”.
