Princess Ukot, 94, for burial
The family of Princess Affiong Samuel Ukot, a healthcare professional and mother of Professor Dorothy Udeme Ufot, SAN, the first and only Akwa Ibom-born female Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has announced the funeral arrangements for their late matriarch.
Princess Ukot died on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 94. A series of events have been planned in her honour to celebrate her remarkable life and legacy.
The funeral events commence with a Service of Songs and Tributes on Thursday, January 16, 2025, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Qua Iboe Church, Upenekang, Ibeno LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
The Lying in State takes place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. at her residence, Inyang Itor Road, Upenekang, Ibeno LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
The Funeral Service will be held the same day between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon at the Ibeno Local Government Secretariat Grounds, followed by a reception at the same venue. A Thanksgiving Service occurs on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Qua Iboe Church, Upenekang, Ibeno LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
