Appeal Court overturns injunction on Ado-Bayero's Kano throne, orders rehearing
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has lifted an injunction issued by the Kano State High Court that barred Aminu Ado-Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, and four other dethroned emirs—Bichi, Rano, Gaya, and Karaye from parading themselves as traditional rulers.

In a judgment delivered on Friday, a three-member panel of justices led by Justice Mohammed Mustapha ruled that the lower court’s July 15, 2024 decision was flawed and violated fundamental principles of fair hearing.
