• AbdulRazaq, Sani hail sacrifices of fallen heroes

Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State has reassured that his administration will continue to collaborate with the military and provide a conducive atmosphere for all the security agencies in the state to ensure the safety of lives and property.
 
His counterparts in Kwara, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and Kaduna, Uba Sani laid the wreaths and eulogised the feat of the fallen heroes.The governor made the promise, yesterday, at the 2025 Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day and Wreath-laying Ceremony in Minna.
  
Bago emphasised that the service of those who paid the supreme price with their lives to ensure peace and security in the state and the country at large could not be estimated, as the state government would continue to support the widows and widowers to have a sense of belonging in the society.
  
Other features of the event included special prayers offered for the souls of the fallen heroes, a gun salute, the signing of the register, and the presentation of N50 million cheque to the state chapter of the Nigerian Legion.   Bago also released pigeons symbolising peace in the state and the country.

IN Kwara, Governor AbdulRazaq laid the wreath at the cenotaph of the unknown soldier, a nationwide activity that concludes the Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

According to a statement, yesterday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor also freed white pigeons, another symbolic gesture that signifies Nigeria’s commitment to peace and harmony following a 30-month civil war in which multitudes of soldiers and civilians died across the country. 
  
He was joined at the solemn event in Ilorin, the state capital, by top government officials, including his deputy, Kayode Alabi; security commanders, war veterans, community leaders, academics, members of the Nigerian Legion and spouses of fallen heroes. 
  
The Governor urged Nigerians to always remember men of the armed forces and security agents for their immeasurable sacrifices for the country and to continue to pray for peace and unity in the country.

TO curb insecurity, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the military in ensuring peace and security in the state. 
 
Sani’s support to the military was made at the main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna where he was represented by the House of Assembly Speaker, Yusuf Dahiru.
  
Paying tribute to the fallen heroes, he said, “Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honour their memory.”   He commended the military for the bravery and sacrifice in tackling insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole.
  
The ceremony was attended by top government officials, military personnel, heads of security agencies in the state, traditional leaders and other stakeholders, demonstrating a united front in honouring the nation’s fallen heroes and supporting the military’s efforts to ensure peace and security.
