Sixteen youth football teams from across Nigeria are gearing up for the Digital Scouting Africa (DSA) U-17 Talent Showcase, set to take place from 27 to 31 January 2025 at the Inspire Sports Academy Arena in Oshodi, Lagos. This innovative event is redefining how football talents are identified and developed in Africa, combining cutting-edge technology with opportunities for global exposure.
The competition will feature a diverse lineup of youth teams, including Inspire Sports Academy, Seamoriow FA, Adamimogo FC, Africa’s Elite FA, Brave Football Academy International, Emiloju FC, and FC Bethel Sporting, among others. Each team will compete in live-streamed matches while players benefit from advanced performance analytics and the creation of digital profiles.
Digital Scouting Africa, a partnership between Tosmicom Sports and Digital Scouting Network Ltd, leverages technology to provide young players with tools that were once reserved for professionals. Player statistics, performance data, and digital scouting profiles will be made available on the Digital Scouting Africa Portal, opening doors to opportunities in professional football leagues across Europe, the MLS, and beyond.
“This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between grassroots talents and professional opportunities,” said Adebayo Oluwasegun, CEO of Tosmicom Sports Agency. “Our vision is to create a structured pathway for African players to reach global football markets.”

The U-17 Talent Showcase is just the beginning. Selected standout players will feature in the prestigious April Scouting Championship, where scouts from top European and MLS clubs will identify the most promising talents.
In addition, the initiative is strengthened by strategic partnerships with organisations such as Talent United Group and the Principals Cup Nationwide, which broaden the reach and visibility of emerging players across Africa.
The DSA U-20 Talent Showcase will follow from 18 to 24 February 2025, bringing together teams from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, and Benin. This event, like the U-17 competition, will feed into the April Scouting Championship, providing a seamless progression for outstanding young players.
Key highlights of the January showcase include, live-streaming of all matches via the Digital Scouting Africa Portal, detailed performance analysis for players and teams, creation of digital scouting profiles to boost visibility for promising players, and selection of an All-Star team to participate in the April scouting event.
Tosmicom Sports, a pioneer in grassroots football development, is setting new standards for talent identification and promotion in Africa through its flagship project, Digital Scouting Africa. The agency is committed to empowering young players and connecting them with opportunities for professional growth on the global stage.
As the DSA U-17 Talent Showcase approaches, the initiative promises to revolutionise football scouting in Africa, ensuring that the continent’s vast talent pool finally gets the recognition it deserves.
