The President of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid Abdul Rauf, has led the executive council and distinguished members to deliberate on Nigeria’s economic future.

The event featured renowned experts who shared insights on ethical financing and resilient business strategies amidst economic reforms.

The keynote speaker,Dr. Musa Yusuf, projected a positive economic outlook for Nigeria, emphasizing key interventions such as the operationalisation of the Dangote Refinery and the rehabilitation of Port Harcourt and Warri Refineries.

Yusuf highlighted the importance of sustaining fiscal policies to ensure long-term growth, stressing the need for government accountability and strategic borrowings to stabilize the economy.

The panel session, moderated by Hajia Aminat Adams, focused on ‘Faith, Finance, and the Future: Building Resilient Businesses in a Globalised Econom’ Panelists including Mr. Tella Fatai, Mr. Sulaimon Balogun, and Dr. Yusuf underscored the potential of Islamic banking in addressing economic challenges. They called for synergy among religious organisations to unlock funding opportunities and drive ethical financial solutions.

NASFAT also inaugurated its Leadership and Mentoring Initiative, comprising members across zones of NASFAT globally. The initiative aims to mentor young Muslims on personal integrity, career counseling, and morality. This aligns with NASFAT’s commitment to empowering women and youths through education and economic interventions.

Marble Capital CEO presented plans to raise N300 million for Lasikiin Communications Limited, NASFAT’s media arm, to transition from web radio to terrestrial broadcasting. The initiative underscores NASFAT’s dedication to promoting Islamic values and fostering societal engagement. This fundraising effort, set to conclude by March 2025, symbolizes NASFAT’s strategic drive for sustainable development.
