PETROAN partners Dangote, MRS for improved fuel distribution

The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has sealed a partnership with Dangote Group and MRS Holdings to enhance the efficiency of petroleum product distribution across the country.

The Association, in a statement signed by its National Public Relations Officer (PRO), Dr Joseph Obele, said the partnership will enable Nigerians to get the best value for money paid for the purchase of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS).

He stressed that the era of price disparity will end, even as consideration for the cost of transportation is included in the scheme. The National President of PETROAN, Dr Billy Gillis Harry, described the agreement as a show of love from Dangote Refinery, in conjunction with PETROAN to Nigerians. Harry encouraged Nigerians to be optimistic that better days are ahead.

In the same development, Harry has inaugurated new Lagos executive members led by Otunba Akinola Ogunyolemi, vowing to tackle petroleum industry challenges. He emphasised that the inauguration is part of an effort to combat fuel adulteration, illegal meter adjustments, agency victimisation of retail outlet owners, and product hoarding.

“PETROAN is committed to promoting the welfare of its members, ensuring unity and stability in Nigeria’s petroleum retail sector. Its membership consists of owners of licensed petroleum product retail stations, government-approved petroleum selling outlets, and government-licensed petroleum storage facilities nationwide,” he said.
