Operatives of the Mushin Command of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) have arrested Toyin Ariyo, a 48-year-old suspected fraudster accused of attempting to swindle a teenager in Lagos.
The arrest occurred on February 3, 2025, at about 9:00 a.m., around the Cappa area of Agege Motor Road. Ariyo was apprehended after she tried to defraud 18-year-old Ayomide. An LNSA officer noticed the victim displaying signs of distress and fear, prompting immediate action.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to engaging in fraudulent activities for over 20 years. The case has been transferred to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
The LNSA’s General Manager, Ifalade Oyekan, commended the officers’ swift response and warned criminals to avoid Lagos State. Oyekan reiterated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration remains committed to enhancing the safety and security of residents and visitors, urging law enforcement agencies to sustain their vigilance.
