
The Deborah Bosah Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has raised concerns over the dire living conditions of residents in Makoko, Lagos. The organisation expressed its concern during a visit to the community, where it reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting underprivileged areas through impactful programmes and initiatives.
Guided by Ebun Omisakin, a representative of The Hope Centre School, the Foundation toured the community and gained insights into the numerous challenges faced by residents. Witnessing the harsh realities firsthand, the group expressed its determination to provide assistance.
During the visit, the Foundation made a financial contribution to address some immediate needs of the residents. It also pledged to return with additional aid and long-term initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Makoko’s residents.
Speaking on the visit, Deborah Bosah, founder of the Foundation, said: “Our goal is to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families in underserved communities. What we have seen here today underscores the urgent need for action.”
She further emphasised the Foundation’s commitment to tackling the challenges faced by communities like Makoko, adding that it will continue to prioritise programmes that create meaningful change.
