Oyo government endorses Fly Time as organisers push more partnerships

The Oyo State Government through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has endorsed Fly Time.

The endorsement came after a meeting between the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatubosun and the Chairman of Fly Time, Bolarinwa Kashif, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the office of the commissioner, Oyo State secretariat, Ibadan.

The commissioner, speaking on this endorsement, noted that the state government was willing to partner with youth organisations to foster development in the state.

He said, “Having a gathering of youths come together to do something great is impressive and our government, under the leadership of the Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, is known for supporting youthful initiatives and efforts of these sorts.”

Olatubosun noted that the government might not support Fly Time financially, however, the government would be ready to support the initiative with other means necessary to see to Fly Time’s success.

Reacting to this development, Chairman of Fly Multi Company Limited, Bolarinwa Kashif, lauded the state government and hoped the endorsement would shape investment in youth affairs in the state.

He noted, “We are grateful to the state government for finding us worthy of this partnership. Indeed, it is another step in the right direction and we hope that this will enable us get more partnerships as we embark on another edition of Fly Time.”

The maiden edition of Fly Time Fiesta was hosted in Ibadan in December 2024 and it attracted over 1000 attendees.
