A community in Edo State has banished Mr. Godwin Osezele for engaging in homosexual practices.

The once-quiet community erupted in chaos on May 11, 2024, when Osezele and his partner were reportedly caught in the act by a group of men.

It was gathered that during the attack, the suspect was struck on the head with an object and lost consciousness, while his partner was allegedly killed.

An eyewitness to the incident, who expressed animosity towards the suspect, stated that Osazele was apprehended by the community but ultimately managed to escape, preventing the community from handing him over to law enforcement.

A family member of the suspect informed newsmen that efforts to discourage Osazele from being gay were unsuccessful. The family member expressed that the suspect’s actions had tarnished the family’s reputation and led to his excommunication from the community.

It was revealed that since the tragic incident, Osazele has been on the run, and all attempts to apprehend him have been unsuccessful.
