ALGON mourns three Taraba NULGE officials killed in motor accident

The Taraba State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has expressed shock over the tragic death of three officials of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in a ghastly motor accident.

In a statement made available to media practitioners in Jalingo by the state chairman, Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan, on Thursday, the association described the incident as shocking.

On behalf of the association, he extended his heartfelt condolences to the Executive Governor of Taraba State, the bereaved families, and the entire workforce, particularly local government employees.

ALGON prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and for strength for their families, the NULGE community, and the entire state to bear the irreparable loss.

The association urged workers in the state not to be discouraged by the unfortunate incident but to remain steadfast in their efforts to contribute to the growth and development of Taraba State and Nigeria at large.

They stressed that ALGON in Taraba State is deeply touched by the loss and encouraged all to take solace in the inevitability of death.

He further noted that the deceased officials left behind enduring legacies, having paid the ultimate price in service to the nation.

The deceased officials were reportedly returning from a national assignment in Abuja when the unfortunate incident occurred on the Wukari-Jalingo road.
