Wale Oke urges Nigerians not to lose hope as PFN conference ends

Bishop Wale Oke

President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, has urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country, assuring that there is hope for Nigeria.

He stated that Nigeria’s economy will rebound, the education sector will revive and infrastructural development will pick up.

Briefing journalists after the closing of the 18th Biennial conference of the group in Abuja, Oke stated that many developed countries of today went through difficult times before having a rebirth.

He said, “We have several examples, both in scriptures and in contemporary times, of nations that have gone through very difficult times, having a rebirth, having a change, having a turn.

From old painful past to a new beginning.

“Places like Singapore having a new turn, we have spoken about the South Korean economy, even the United States, you talk of the British, every nation has a history of where they are coming and what they have become.

“That is why we are saying to Nigerians, there is no giving up about the possibility of Nigeria turning a new leaf.
We cannot afford to write off our nation. God has been gracious to Nigeria.”

Oke called on Nigerians to shun corruption, shun ungodliness, kidnapping, and violence, and embrace the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Our hope is in the fact that God has his plan. So we call all Nigerians never to lose hope, but to turn to God with all of our hearts and as we do, He has promised that we hear our cries, He will forgive our sins, and will heal our land,” he said.

Oke observed that the PFN is very strong in every state of the Federation, and beyond borders of Nigeria, adding that God has blessed the fellowship mightily in the past 40 years.
