Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo is back in Nigeria as preparations gear up for the next round of her daughter, Priscilla’s, wedding ceremonies.
The 47-year-old actress, who recently attended the first leg of the wedding in Tanzania, received a surprise homecoming party organised by her close friends and family.
On Sunday, she shared her excitement on Instagram, posting, “I’m speechless! I thought I was the only ‘extra’ one, but my friends and sisters just took it to a whole new level! This surprise welcome back home party was everything and more! I’m still reeling from the shock – I never saw it coming!”
Last week, Priscilla, an influencer and entrepreneur, traditionally married her Tanzanian fiancé, singer Juma Jux, in a ceremony rich in East African customs. Not stopping there, Jux made another grand proposal in front of loved ones, this time with what Iyabo described as a “ring twice the size.”

The couple also sealed their union with a civil wedding in Tanzania, setting the stage for the upcoming Nigerian leg of the celebrations.
Iyabo, who has been actively updating her fans on social media, revealed that the wedding train is now heading to Nigeria. In April, Priscilla and Jux will have their traditional and white weddings in Lagos, promising an extravagant celebration. The final leg of the festivities will then return to Tanzania in May for a grand finale.
Expressing her gratitude, the actress wrote, “To everyone who flew in to celebrate the beautiful union of my daughter, Priscilla, and son, Juma, I’m forever grateful! The three-part celebration was a resounding success, and I give God all the glory.”
She added, “Next, we have two more exciting events: the traditional and white weddings in April, both in Nigeria, followed by the grand finale party in Tanzania in May! May we live to witness our children celebrate their own milestones.”
