Nigerian music stars Patoranking, Duncan Mighty and Mr P are set to headline the third anniversary celebration of VANITI Lagos as the nightlife venue marks the occasion with events spread across two weekends.

The anniversary programme will begin on Friday, September 25, 2026, and continue through Sunday, September 27, before returning for a second round from October 2 to 4.

Patoranking will open the first weekend with a performance on Friday, while Duncan Mighty will take the stage on Saturday, September 26.

Mr P, one half of Nigerian music duo P-Square, is scheduled to perform on Sunday, September 27, bringing the first round of anniversary activities to a close.

The performances bring together artistes from different periods and styles within contemporary Nigerian popular music.

Patoranking has built his career around a blend of dancehall, reggae and Afrobeats, becoming one of Nigeria’s recognisable voices within the African dancehall scene.

Duncan Mighty, meanwhile, emerged from Port Harcourt with a catalogue that combines highlife, Afrobeats and influences from the Niger Delta. Songs including Port Harcourt Son, Obianuju and Fake Love, his collaboration with Wizkid, have contributed to his enduring presence in Nigerian popular music.

Mr P has spent more than two decades in the entertainment industry, first gaining prominence as part of P-Square before developing his solo career.

Their appearances will form the musical centrepiece of VANITI Lagos’ first anniversary weekend.

Two weekends of entertainment

The celebration will not end with the September performances.

VANITI Lagos said activities will resume the following weekend, running from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4.

Details of the performers and programming for the second weekend were not provided in the announcement.

The anniversary marks three years since the nightlife venue began operations in Lagos.

During that period, VANITI has hosted entertainment events and live appearances by Nigerian music personalities as part of Lagos’ wider nightlife circuit.

Nightclubs and lounges have become an important extension of the country’s entertainment economy, providing spaces where music, fashion, hospitality and celebrity culture intersect.

For artistes, such venues also provide another performance environment outside conventional concerts and festivals, allowing them to engage audiences in more intimate nightlife settings.

The VANITI anniversary programme follows that model by placing live performances at the centre of the celebrations.

The organisers expect the two weekends to attract music fans, entertainment personalities and members of Lagos’ nightlife community.

With Patoranking opening proceedings and Duncan Mighty and Mr P following across the first weekend, VANITI Lagos is using its third anniversary to bring together established names from different corners of Nigerian popular music.

The celebration begins September 25 and concludes with the second weekend of activities on October 4.
