Frantz Fanon had warned that , “each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it”. At a time like this when there were idolatrous bastardisation of traditional and Christian religions and manipulations of their liturgies for easy butchering of human beings and harvesting of human parts for money, power and influence, only Soludo’s humanism and cultural revolution would solve the problem.
Indeed, It was a cultural deviation and misnomer that called for a cultural revolution of Soludo’s kind but backed by law of the State’s House of Assembly that effected revisiting the fundamental tenets of traditional and Christian religious practice manipulated to unwind voodooism for uneconomic wealth and monies.
The Anambra State Homeland Security Law as a Law for the maintenance of internal security and order in the State, therefore, established the Anambra State Agunechemba aimed at wiping out evil practices for money or for kidnapping for ransom in the state.
With the homeland security law the over 20 year practices in the underground world of the state became proscribed by law; subjecting any person who misleads the public by purporting to wield any supernatural powers which he is found not to possess or who obtains any reward from any person in furtherance thereof; any person who uses any religious place to aid the commission of any crime; any person who administers any substance or charm on or for any other person for the purpose of commission of any offence or for the purpose of accumulation of wealth by supernatural means other than by any known lawful means of livelihood or who publicly propagates the accumulation of such wealth other than by any known lawful means of livelihood.
The current cultural revolution in Anambra state is for the greatest good of the greatest number of people according to the utilitarian principle, courtesy of Soludo’s humanism. Both the French and American Revolutions can indeed be considered cultural revolutions, though they were primarily political and social movements that aimed to change systems of governance.
The term “cultural revolution” generally refers to a deep shift in societal values, norms, and practices, and in both revolutions, there were significant cultural shifts alongside the political upheaval.
American Revolution (1775–1783), although was centered around the fight for independence from Britain and the establishment of a democratic republic, it also brought about a cultural transformation. It promoted ideas like individual liberty, the rule of law, and republicanism, which were groundbreaking at the time. French Revolution (1789–1799) was more explicitly a cultural revolution, as it radically transformed the social fabric of France. Revolutionary ideals, like liberty, equality, and fraternity, redefined the roles of citizens in society and promoted the idea of civic duty over traditional feudal loyalties.
Neopeganism and idolatrous religious based underground business world of kidnapping and bestial practices had existed for many years in the South East, but the present Anambra case is a test case of the leadership and revolutionary gut of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Executive Governor of Anambra state. According to Italian poet, Dante Alighieri, “ the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who during a time of moral crisis, remain neutral.”
The governor answered the call of moral crisis, albeit, with a big stick of the law. After the Second World War, the laws of Germany were revised and promulgated and those who committed atrocities in the name of Nazi Germany were either executed or jailed and the same atrocities led to the charter establishing the United Nations. It was a socio-cultural revolution by comity of nations.
The governor has the strength of character to respond to the atrocities ravaging Nigeria in this 21st century, and would be able to make Anambra a livable, peaceful and proffered place in the South East. He responded to the decadence of criminality of neopaganistic and vulgar religious wealth creation in a manner unprecedented since the creation of Anambra state.
With laws establishing Udo-Ga-Chi as a combined operatives of the federal and state militia led by a special squad called “Agunechemba”, the lion of Anambra state, the Governor said, “Anambra State must be liberated.
The common threat we face today must be overcome by all of us” (Soludo, 2023). “Agunechemba is Anambra’s security outfit, while operation Udo Ga Chi is a specific operation that involves Agunechemba and members of other security agencies, working in collaboration to achieve specific operational outcomes. In Udo Ga Chi, you have Agunechemba, Army, police, DSS, Civil defense, Navy and all of them.”
The security architecture is part of Soludo’s solution, renewal of hope and mission statement condensed in the five transformational theoretical framework namely: sustainable environment and urban development; public service reform; revised justice system and security architecture; infrastructure and economic transformation; and human capital and social development. It is a deconstruction process that started barely two years ago.
The revolution against religious corruption and neopaganism for material wealth and immoral suasion began in earnest with exposing the centers and periphery of inhuman practices and demolishing them along with arrest of their sponsors and chief priests.
Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites in Oba town had over 30 partitioned graves and a shrine, symbolising the Babylonian, horrible and bestiary inhumanity perpetrated underground in Anambra state in the past twenties years without government’s inquisition.
With the passage of the homeland security law and the implementations under the cultural revolution many more clandestine covens have been discovered among unsuspecting communities in Anambra state who their leaders are held responsible and sanctioned by the law.
