The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos has disclosed its intentions to prosecute the nurse who was identified as the prime suspect in the death of the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, famously known as Mohbad.
The DPP further noted that Ogedengbe will be prosecuted over charges of reckless and negligent acts at the magistrate court, which are contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch. C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
Before he died in 2023, the 27-year-old musician got into a “violent fight” with his childhood friend, Owodunni Ibrahim, also called Primeboy.
Mohbad sustained injuries from the fight, and Ogedengbe was called to treat him.

She was said to have injected Mohbad with three different drugs, and instead of recuperating, the late star began convulsing and vomiting.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he gave up the ghost.
Shortly after his death, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, named Ogedengbe as a prime suspect in his death.
The Police Commissioner also revealed that Ogedengbe was an unlicensed nurse.
Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly called Naira Marley, and music promoter Samson Balogun, known as Sam Larry, have been accused by many Nigerians of being responsible for the late musician’s death.
The duo were, however, acquitted alongside Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde, by a Lagos Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
While delivering judgment in Lagos on Tuesday, the magistrate noted that Naira Marley had no case to answer.
