Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, Badaru expressed his sympathies and highlighted the shared nature of the grief.

“This is not just your personal loss, but our collective loss. We mourn with you, your family, and all the people of Katsina State,” he said.

The minister further acknowledged the bond between Katsina, Kano, and Jigawa states, emphasising that they share both joys and sorrows.

He also thanked Allah for the life and legacy of the late Hajiya Safara’u and expressed confidence that Governor Radda would continue to uphold her values.
