Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL) is advancing major infrastructure projects in its host communities with the construction of a royal palace for Imogbara and the development of the Imogbara-Odo-Ijesa road.
The 2.4 km road project, which began in January, is being constructed with interlocking concrete blocks for durability. Approximately 100 meters of the road have been completed. Construction of the Imogbara royal palace is also nearing completion, with 95 percent of the work finished.
The Olumolu of Imogbara, HRH Oba Bamidele Adeniji Adeyeye, expressed appreciation for the company’s efforts.
“We in the Imogbara community deeply appreciate Segilola’s contributions. They have provided jobs, installed a transformer, and empowered our women and youth in their businesses. This palace is something we have long hoped for. A royal palace is a symbol of cultural heritage, and thanks to Segilola, Imogbara will soon stand proudly alongside any community in the region,” he said.
Ms. Madhurii Sarkar-Amoda, Community Development and Stakeholder Manager at SROL, said the company remains committed to delivering tangible benefits to its host communities.
“At Segilola, we believe in taking action, not just making promises. Our goal is to create lasting value for the communities where we operate, and these projects reflect our unwavering commitment to that vision,” she said.
Segilola Resources Operating Limited continues to implement community initiatives focused on infrastructure development, job creation, and local empowerment.
