Olaleye Olalekan Olusoji, popularly known as Olalekankiab, is a prolific talking drummer, music producer and a professional singer. The Oyo State-born Olalekankiab studied education at the Lagos State University, majoring in Economics (Bsc. Ed).

His music career as a professional started at age 17, going ahead to work with head honchos in the music industry. Olalekankiab proudly says he has “worked with ‘K1 De’ Ultimate, Chief Ebenezer Obey (MFR) and currently with the mask man, Lagbaja.”

Apart from currently working with Lagbaja, Olalekankiab also runs his personal band known as De’ Royal band. He has quite a number of recorded songs (album) and concert appearances.

The artiste, who has travelled far and wide through music, smiles, “I’m an idol on the talking drum and an exceptional singer.” Speaking with The Guardian after a recent gig, said: “Ladies and gentlemen, you’re welcome to the world of the king himself… Olalekankiab.”
