The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has expressed deep condolence over the death of the former governor of Oyo State, Victor Omololu Olunloyo.

Adams, in a statement he signed personally, described the death of Olunloyo as a rude shock, particularly coming a few months away from his 90th birthday.

In his condolence message, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State and former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Olunloyo, describing him as “a committed public servant who gave his best to Nigeria.”

In a statement in Abuja by his Media Office, Fayemi described Olunloyo’s death as the end of an era, someone who Nigerians will remember for his principled leadership and selfless service.
