In its efforts to give a lifeline to the less privileged, abandoned children and orphans in Nigeria, a frontline non-governmental organisation, Resilience Rising and Community Development Foundation, at the weekend donated food items and books which includes indomies, semovita, golden more, biscuits, spaghetti, noodles, milk, milo and others beverages.
Speaking during the presentation of the items, Mr. Steven Akinola Folorunso said the drive to help the less privileged and give succour to poor families motivated his foundation to reach out to the needy in various communities by making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children, offering them support, care, hope and encouragement.
He added that the driving vision of the non – governmental organisation is to ameliorate hunger and poverty among Nigerians and to offer qualitative education and training to Nigerian students; effective health care service delivery, employment assistance as well as serving as an advocate of human rights and community development.
The visit was acknowledged by the management of the orphanage centre, Open Arms of Mercy, located at Ago Palace, Okota, Lagos State.
