The ReCALIBRATE – Life Success by Design Bootcamp took place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Staybridge Suites Galleria, Houston, convening a dynamic audience of youths and young professionals for a full-day personal development experience themed: “From Here to There: Resilience, Critical Intelligences, and Winning Strategies for Life Success.”

Organized by The Cross Culture Center Community Collective, in partnership with OFM Houston, The Transforming Church Texas-Richmond, and Sure Foundation, the event provided a faith-based, forward-thinking space for conversations that tackled identity, purpose, and leadership in today’s complex cultural landscape.

Among the lineup of distinguished speakers was Temitope Okeseeyin, an award-winning HR-Tech Strategist, AI Consultant, and Borderless Career Expert. As the visionary founder of the University of Freelancing, and the first to launch an HR-Tech coaching program in Africa, Temitope brought a unique blend of spiritual insight and global career intelligence to the bootcamp.

Her session, inspired by her “Unmute Your Mic” framework, drew from the biblical story of Joshua and the realities of navigating identity, calling, and clarity in a post-truth world. She urged participants to stop shrinking, recalibrate their lives intentionally, and boldly walk into their divine assignments. With authenticity and authority, Temitope shared lessons from her own journey as a Top 1% global freelancer, O1 visa recipient, and advocate for borderless opportunities for people of African descent.

Another notable voice at the event was Dr. Harry Akinola, Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., and an international leader in talent, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.

Other facilitators included Dr. Mayowa Olusoji, Aniebiet Abasi, and the host Dr. Arete Mfon Amana an academic, convener, and thought leader in African studies and cultural transformation, with the event hosted and moderated by Dr. Hakeem Tijani.

The ReCALIBRATE Bootcamp served as a space for deep reflection, realignment, and renewed focus. Attendees left empowered with practical tools and spiritual strength to navigate life’s critical junctures.
