Just & Chris Foundation empowers widows, vulnerable women

As part of efforts aimed at putting smiles on faces of Nigerians, members of the Just & Chris Foundation recently empowered women and the vulnerable on Easter Monday.

The empowerment took place at Arobaba Idimu Road in Alimosho Area of Lagos State.

In a chat with The Guardian, Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Chioma Teresa Nwaubani, disclosed that Just & Chris foundation was founded on the premise of passion and love for the needy.

She said the foundation is in memory of her late mother Justina Chinwe Obasi and her late brother Christopher Chukwuemeka Obasi. It is geared towards caring for the needy in the society especially, widows, vulnerable women, needy children and orphans.

Nwaubani believes that the government cannot meet the needs of the needy alone. She also urged well meaning individuals and groups to rise up and show compassion to those who are in desperate need, as this will make the society a better place.

The widows were given word of exaltation and taken through a prayer session as the visioneer believes only God can comfort the women and effectively meet their needs.

Gift packs made up of food items, clothings, shoes and books including cash were given to the women, as they also went through some basic medical checks, and health talks in a bid to maintain optimal health.

Based in the United States of America, the foundation is very passionate about impacting the lives of the less privileged of Nigerians.

The foundation looks forward to training and re-raining the women through skills acquisition, access to soft loans and business empowerment in the nearest future.
