Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), from Enugu North Senatorial Zone of Enugu state, have commended Governor Peter Mbah for the ongoing massive infrastructure across the state.
They particularly expressed delight with the road infrastructure, smart green schools, and health centres across the 260 political wards, stressing that the governor exceeded their expectations.
They also appealed to the Federal Government of President Bola Tinubu to extend federal appointments to members of the party from the Enugu North Senatorial zone.
Leader of the group, Brigadier General, Joseph Okoloagu (rtd), who addressed reporters after their meeting in Nsukka, Enugu State, praised Governor Mbah for building durable roads in several parts of the state, especially in Enugu North senatorial zone.
Nsukka and its environs, stressing that the state was witnessing an unusual transformation.
Okoloagu, who is also a member of the APC Board of Trustees(BoT), lamented that the leadership of the party in Enugu State had been hijacked by people he described as charlatans and appealed to the national leadership of the party to intervene in the crisis in the Enugu State chapter.
He called on the national leadership of the party to institute a Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the party in the state as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
He reminded President Tinubu that the bulk of the votes he got in Enugu state during the last presidential election came from Enugu North senatorial zone, urging him to reward APC members from the zone with federal appointments.
Also, speaking to journalists, the former Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Eugene Odo, thanked Mbah for extending the dividends of democracy to Enugu North senatorial zone.
