Operatives of the Isokoko Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested 26-year-olds Peter James and Lesipi Adamu for vandalising roadside concrete barriers in the Ile-Zik area.
The suspects were apprehended while removing iron rods from the concrete barriers along the road. During their arrest, two sledgehammers, two cutting saws, and a pair of scissors were recovered from them.
Additionally, patrol officers of the Isheri Oshun Division in Lagos arrested two suspects, Jemilu Abdullahi and Samsondeen Isiaku, while they were vandalising streetlight cables along Ijegun/Jakande Road.
The Command stated that an investigation is ongoing, and the suspects, who were arrested on May 6, 2025, will be charged in court accordingly. The Commissioner of Police, Moshood Jimoh, condemned the vandalism of public property, stressing that it threatens safety and infrastructure. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting life and property across the state.
