Plaza Owners Association (PLOWASS), has reiterated commitment towards wellness and health of its people through the construction of a hygienic public toilet facility and the ongoing development of a dedicated medical clinic within the complex.
These initiatives, under the administration of President, PLOWASS, Dr. Innocent Nnamene, has recorded tangible achievements, especially in the areas of public health and community welfare.
Since assuming the presidency in March 2021, Dr. Nnamene has steered the association with a focus on modernising infrastructure, enhancing security, and promoting health-conscious initiatives within the business community. His efforts have contributed to a cleaner, safer, and more business-friendly environment in the plaza complex, which now serves as a critical hub for regional and international commerce.
One of the landmark achievements under Dr. Nnamene’s tenure is the construction of a modern public toilet facility, addressing longstanding sanitation challenges within the commercial area. The project was completed as part of a broader push to uphold hygiene standards and improve the experience for thousands of traders and visitors who access the complex daily.
“This facility is not just about convenience—it’s about dignity, public health, and the wellbeing of our community,” Dr. Nnamene said during a recent tour of the site. Traders and shoppers have welcomed the development, citing improved cleanliness and reduced health risks.
In line with his commitment to wellness, Dr. Nnamene also spearheaded the ongoing construction of a fully equipped medical clinic, the first of its kind within the plaza. Once completed, the clinic will offer primary healthcare services, emergency care, and health education programs tailored for business owners, workers, and shoppers in the vicinity.
“This is a strategic investment in the people who drive our economy,” Dr. Nnamene noted. “Health is wealth, and our goal is to ensure timely access to medical care for our business community.”
Complementing these health-related projects are other major infrastructural upgrades under his administration, including the commissioning of a state-of-the-art business complex, construction of access roads, installation of 24/7 surveillance systems, and acquisition of a dedicated security patrol van. He also initiated the creation of a designated waste dump site, ensuring cleaner surroundings and better waste management practices.
