The 22nd edition of the Aret Adams Annual Memorial Lecture is scheduled to be held on May 15, 2025, at the MUSON Centre (Agip Recital Hall), Onikan, Lagos.
With the theme, “Aret Adams – Legacies and Impacts on Nigeria’s Oil & Gas Industry,” this year’s event is set to examine the enduring contributions of the late Chief Godwin Aret Adams to the development of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector and the broader energy industry.
Speaking on the preparations for the event, the Programmes Manager of the Aret Adams Foundation, Mr Akin Jokojeje, said the Board of Trustees chose the theme to reflect on the two decades since Aret Adams’ passing and to assess how his ideals have shaped the current energy landscape.
“The board observed that it has been 22 years since the transition of this doyen of the nation’s oil and gas industry, and therefore decided to put together a collection of industry colleagues, subordinates and associates to espouse his virtues, ideals and legacies vis-à-vis the current state of the Nigerian Energy industry and to make projections for its future, growth and development,” he said.
The memorial lecture will be chaired by former Managing Director of SNEPCo, Dr Olufemi Lalude, and will feature two panels of industry experts and contemporaries who worked closely with the late Adams.
