‘AI Design Sprint’ bootcamp launched to boost innovation in West Africa

In a landmark partnership poised to redefine the future of work and innovation across West Africa, leading Danish AI implementation design firm, 33A, has teamed up with Nigeria’s CertBridge Limited to launch the AI Design Sprint® Training Bootcamp—a strategic initiative aimed at empowering organizations and professionals to take charge of AI integration, irrespective of technical background.

This development is expected to spark a new wave of enterprise innovation across sectors, offering West African companies a practical framework to build, prototype, and apply artificial intelligence in real-world business contexts.

The AI Design Sprint®, a methodology pioneered by 33A CEO and Co-founder Michael Brandt, was originally developed as a teaching tool for university students in Denmark. It has since evolved into a robust, modular system used to bridge the gap between AI experts and non-technical decision-makers—ensuring inclusive, commercially viable, and human-centered AI solutions.

Speaking on the initiative, Brandt noted: “AI cannot and should not be left to technical experts alone. Our goal is to democratize AI adoption and give every organization the tools to co-create their future with AI. West Africa is ready for this leap, and with CertBridge, we’re providing the ladder.”

CertBridge Limited, a next-generation training and certification platform, has become a pan-African leader in preparing professionals and institutions for the digital economy. Founded by Dr. Nnaemeka Richard Dureke, CertBridge delivers globally accredited programs in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, blockchain, and strategic foresight.

According to Dr. Dureke: “This partnership is not just about training—it’s about nation-building. The AI Design Sprint® Bootcamp equips organizations with the capability to lead AI-driven transformation from within. It’s an intelligent investment for any company serious about relevance in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

Set to debut in key Nigerian cities and scale across West Africa, the bootcamp will target private sector leaders, government agencies, tech startups, and development organizations. Participants will gain hands-on experience in designing AI-powered solutions that are ethical, scalable, and strategically aligned with their business goals.

With increasing demand for localized AI solutions and internal innovation capabilities, this initiative presents a compelling case for forward-thinking companies to invest in people, processes, and purpose-driven technology.

As global interest in Africa’s innovation potential grows, the 33A-CertBridge collaboration is positioning West Africa as not just a consumer of AI technologies but a co-creator of AI-led development pathways.
