The Dean, Student Affairs of Kwara State University, Malete, Prof. AbdulRauf Ambali, has been named the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of AbdulRasaq Abubakar Toyin University (AATU), Ganmo, Kwara State.
The World Assembly of Al-Azhar University, Cairo, has lauded the decision, describing Ambali as a round hole in a round peg. A statement by the institution expressed confidence in the ability of Ambali to transform the new university into a world-class one.
It noted that Ambali’s experience as an academic and administrator will positively impact the new university in its formative stage and ultimately lead the institution to the highest path of academic excellence.
Similarly, the Ilorin Emirate Community in KWASU has described his appointment as a reward for hard work and selfless service. It enjoined him to put his wealth of experience, academic and administrative acumen to bear in making the university a success story. The body then prayed God to grant him the knowledge and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the institution to greater heights.
