Bluesky Citadel, a UK-based tech training platform founded by Nigerian couple, Deji and Patricia Emmanuel, has emerged as the UK Winner for Excellence in Learning & Development at the 2025 Digital Revolution Awards.
This recognition marks a major milestone for a platform that began with a single learner in 2008 and has since expanded its reach to over 10,000 participants across the UK, Africa, North and South America, and Asia.
The award ceremony, powered by Tenth Revolution Group and sponsored by global tech leaders Microsoft and NexxR, celebrates innovation and impact in digital learning and HR technology.
Bluesky Citadel stood out in a highly competitive category that included industry giants like Capgemini, Version1, Devoteam, 4PS Construction Solutions, and BeSA.
For the Emmanuels, the moment of victory was deeply emotional. “When they called Bluesky Citadel as the winner, there was a quiet pause between us, and then the emotion hit,” recalled Patricia Emmanuel. “It was humbling. It was God.” Her husband, Deji, echoed the sentiment: “This recognition means the world to us, not just for what we do, but for why we started.”
Bluesky Citadel’s model is rooted in accessibility and sustainability. It offers practical training, mentorship, internship pathways, and interview support, equipping learners not just with technical skills but also with the confidence to thrive in global tech industries.
The platform has become a trusted resource for individuals from diverse backgrounds seeking to enter or advance in technology careers. Their journey from a modest beginning to international recognition is a testament to the power of purpose-driven education. The team now sets its sights on the Global Digital Revolution Awards, scheduled for June 19, 2025, where they will represent the UK on the world stage.
As Bluesky Citadel celebrates this win, it also prepares to welcome its next training cohort starting on June 2, 2025.
