A new stage play titled “Baby Shower” is set to captivate theatre enthusiasts in Lagos this June.
Written by Minna Davies and directed by Austine Onuoha, the drama explores complex family dynamics, unspoken truths, and the challenges of teenage things.
The play follows the emotional journey of a young girl who becomes pregnant, and the whirlwind that ensues as her sister organises a celebratory baby shower.
As the event unfolds, long-buried secrets come to light, and the evening takes an unexpected turn.
Featuring a talented cast, including Uche Chika Elumelu, Joy Nmezi, Maryann Ivy, and Imoh Eboh, “Baby Shower” promises a powerful and emotionally charged performance.
Produced by Imoh Eboh, the play is expected to spark important conversations about family, identity, and social issues.
According to the organisers, “Baby Shower” will premiere at the Alliance Française/Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos on June 15th, with two showings scheduled for 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
