The Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan, has bagged full accreditation for all six academic programmes presented during the exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The school, in a statement, noted that the accreditation cements the university’s place among the country’s technical institutions, and underscores its commitment to delivering world-class education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The accreditation covers six programmes, namely Agricultural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Petroleum Engineering; Industrial and Production Engineering, as well as Computer Science.
The management said: “This achievement reflects Tech-U’s dedication to uphold the highest academic standards and ensure that its curricula, facilities, and faculty surpass the benchmarks set by the NUC.”
The management expressed delight at the successful accreditation, describing it as a testament to the tireless efforts of staff and faculty, as well as the university’s strategic focus on innovation, research, and student-centred learning.
“This full accreditation validates our vision of delivering cutting-edge technical education and producing industry-ready graduates. We remain resolute in our mission to be a leading institution that drives technical education and technological advancement in Nigeria,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
