Auto crash leaves one dead in Niger

Road accident involving a truck and a private car collided head on, along Zuba-Madalla road, in Suleja Local Council of Niger State, at about 2 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025, leaving one person dead.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) FCT Sector Commander, Mr. Philip Theman, revealed that the two vehicles were seriously damaged, adding that the command’s emergency team had evacuated the victim from the scene to restore traffic flow in the area.

He said, “The accident occurred on Sunday at about 2 pm. We had in our records that one person lost his life.”
The Sector Commander advised motorists to adhere strictly to road safety regulations to save the lives of innocent travellers on Nigerian roads.

Meanwhile, motorists have lamented the frequent killing of innocent Nigerians as a result of reckless driving, the bad nature of the roads across the country, and called for strict road safety measures, as well as urging authorities concerned to regulate the movement of heavy-duty vehicles along the ever-busy Abuja-Kaduna expressway corridor.
