NATOP AGM will unify tour operators, says TOICE boss

The management of the Tour Operators International Conference and Expo (TOICE) has extended warm congratulations to the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) on the occasion of their forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to hold on July 2 to 6 in the historic and culturally rich Ondo State, Nigeria, noting that the AGM will unify the voices of tour operators.

Speaking on behalf of TOICE, the convener, Mr. Ibrahim Makanjuola Adebusoye, emphasised the importance of the gathering as a major step towards unifying the voices of tour operators across the country and reinforcing the commitment to repositioning tourism as a formidable contributor to Nigeria’s economy.

“This AGM is more than a meeting — it is a rallying point for collective progress,” Mr. Ibrahim said. “It is essential for every practising and aspiring tour operator in Nigeria to be part of this occasion. Participation ensures inclusion in the larger conversation around policy advocacy, capacity building, standardisation, and promoting Nigeria as a competitive tourism destination.”

Ibrahim also commended the current leadership of NATOP, led by Mrs. Bolaji Mustapha, for their unwavering dedication, strategic guidance, and selfless service to the industry.

“The impact of this administration has been remarkable. Their consistent efforts in promoting collaboration, professionalism, and ethical practices have significantly elevated the profile of Nigerian tour operators both locally and internationally,” he added.

“As TOICE continues to build platforms for knowledge exchange, partnerships, and innovation in tourism through its annual conference and expo, it recognises the indispensable role of professional bodies like NATOP in strengthening the ecosystem.

“We look forward to a successful AGM and a renewed commitment to the transformation of Nigeria’s tourism landscape.”
