My music, mission is to help people re-discover purpose — Tope Dada

Temitope Joseph Dada better known as Tope Dada is not just a musician, he’s a movement. With a music career rooted in community empowerment, emotional and spiritual healing, the UK-based artiste continues to inspire through powerful sounds and purposeful lyrics.

His latest tracks are packed with uplifting messages for people navigating emotional struggles. One standout release, The Storm is Over, supports mental health awareness and speaks directly to those battling depression and internal battles.

Since his debut with Iwo Loba in 2008, Tope Dada has built a catalog of powerful, message-driven music including We Are The Future, Better, I am Blessed, Great Jehovah, and Call You Odogwu.

His style blends African rhythms with motivational themes to create a unique feel that resonates with diverse audiences—music with a mission to elevate. His lyrics are draw from personal experiences, biblical teachings, and a deep desire to spread positivity.

In May this year, he hosted his UK solo concert “Gratitude Fest with Tope Dada”, a celebration of music and gratitude which started in Nigeria in 2014 and have had six editions. He has also been featured in concerts across Ibadan, Lagos, Ilorin, Abuja, London, Lancaster, Bradford, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield, and beyond.

Tope Dada’s influence stretches across the airwaves. He has been featured on major platforms including BBC Music Introducing, BCB Radio Bradford, Luke Sound (using his music to make the St Luke Hospital Bradford happy), A Step Forward, and numerous other UK and global radio stations.

In Nigeria, his voice is familiar on Splash FM, R2-FM, and Fresh FM, and his reach has grown across the U.S and Canada. He is also the author of Mind Over Matter, a powerful book on how music supports mental and emotional well-being.

Through his community initiative Men’s Porch, the University of Ibadan Psychology graduate is building stronger communities—empowering men and teens through mentorship, events, and the Men’s Porch Awards that honour outstanding community leaders.

His work hasn’t gone unnoticed as he won the Bradford Music Scene Award 2025, the Africans4U Award Bradford 2024, and the Author of Excellence UK Award 2022. Tope Dada was also a finalist for the Canadian Selah Music Awards 2025, nominated for the Prayze Factor Award USA, and more recognitions are expected in the coming year.
