NIPCO Plc has assured that it would continue to make significant strides in promoting Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a cleaner alternative to traditional fossil fuels in tandem with the Federal Government’s agenda on energy transition.
The Managing Director of NIPCO PLC, Suresh Kumar, who disclosed this on the sidelines of the company’s yearly General Meeting in Abuja, said NIPCO has seen the potential of gas as auto fuel fifteen years ago.
He said NIPCO is poised to intensify its investment in CNG infrastructure nationwide as part of it’s commitment to CNG tosustainability and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
“NIPCO’s partnership with the government to bolster CNG infrastructure nationwide will enable more motorists and industrial users to benefit from the economic and environmental benefits of gas utilization,” the MD said. He noted that the company’s efforts in promoting CNG will contribute to a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future.
“The company’s human capital development has been instrumental in achieving its goals. Our workforce has demonstrated dedication and perseverance, driving the company’s growth trajectory,” Suresh said.
According to him, NIPCO’s future outlook is promising, with plans to optimize processes, reinforce internal controls, and enhance brand visibility.
Suresh emphasised that the company’s commitment to its plethora of investment in the downstream sector will continue to drive its growth and success.
He noted that the company’s investment in CNG infrastructure will enable more motorists and industrial users to benefit from the economic and environmental benefits of gas utilisation.
