The lawmaker representing Delta Central in the National Assembly, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, on his victory at the Supreme Court, affirming him as the duly elected governor of the state.

In a statement, Dafinone commended the judiciary for delivering a sound, courageous, and fair judgment that strengthened public confidence in Nigeria’s democratic and judicial institutions.

The senator urged Okpebholo to leverage his legislative and public service experience to drive progress and development in Edo State. He also called on the governor to be magnanimous in victory and unite the people regardless of political affiliation.

“Elections may have divided the people, but leadership must unite them,” Dafinone said, adding that now is the time to build bridges, heal wounds, and chart a collective course for the progress of Edo State.

The senator also called on all stakeholders in Edo State to join hands with the governor in delivering good governance to the people, harnessing the state’s energy and promise for the common good. The federal legislator congratulated Okpebholo on his judicial affirmation.
