Marwa mourns Buhari

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), yesterday, expressed sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Marwa described Buhari as a true statesman, patriot, and servant-leader who dedicated his life to serving the country.

In a tribute, Marwa highlighted Buhari’s unwavering commitment to duty, courage in adversity, and sense of responsibility to the Nigerian people during his tenure.

“It is with profound sorrow that my family and I mourn the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, a true statesman, patriot, and servant-leader who dedicated his life to the service of our great nation,” Marwa stated.

Marwa, however, praised Buhari’s efforts to restore discipline in governance, ensure security and stability, and promote infrastructural development and agricultural reform.

He noted Buhari’s ability to inspire calm amid uncertainty and lead with quiet resolve, saying that his integrity, simplicity, and personal discipline set him apart as a leader whose actions spoke louder than words.

Marwa also acknowledged Buhari’s dedication to public service from his time as military Head of State to his tenure as a democratically elected President.

He, therefore, extended heartfelt condolences to Buhari’s family, offering thoughts, prayers, and support during their time of the loss.

He expressed confidence that Buhari’s legacy would inspire future generations and be remembered in history.
